Makeover Monday on a Wednesday! :)

So, my computer has been running extrememly slow the past few days, and my internet was not all together there Monday and Tuesday, so here we are.  It's Wednesday, and I am finally posting the Make over Monday Submissions from you guys!  Here we go!
This is the SOOC image of my little cutie hangin out with us while we were shooting Back to School pictures this Saturday!

 Adjust curves slightly to lighten his face, but used black brush to re-darken background

2)      Increased the vibrance

3)      Warmed the photo up a bit with a warming filter

4)      Used selective color layer to make the blues, reds, etc.. pop more

5)      Brightened the photo up a bit making sure to use the black brush on the areas I did not want it to show up.

I used all Photographers BLING actions

Siesta Zing (at 67%)
Warm skin tones (at 70%)
Used layering mask to paint on some color
Used the  selective color option to add more depth to the reds and blacks
Also used the blur tool to blur out the background and bring the subject as the main focal point of the photograph

I took your image and adjusted the Curves, I took out some of the red and added a little blue. I then ran a "Gavin Free-Sage" action and stopped it half way through. I then dodged and burned a few area's and did a 3.7 gaussian blur on the image and brought back the focal points of the image. I than add 10% contrast and again went into curves and added a little more blue.

Make Over Monday

This week was a fun one! An adorable family photoshoot, the last pic of the session, with not a lot of light! It really needed help!

2. Cloned in trees on left side to hide building

3. Overlaid a cloud texture at 40%

4. Brightened it up a bit

5. Sharpened just their faces a little

6. Ran MY FOUR HENS "dainty color" action at 52% for a vintage feel

7. Added a little "lens flare" from MY FOUR HENS

8. Lightened up a smidgen more and voila!

Into the Woods Photography
1. Unsharp mask, 2. Adjusted levels, 3. Used Selective Color on entire image, 4. Used another Selective Color on Background, 5. Adjusted Curves for Family, 6. Used the White 4th of July Texture from Kristin Nicole Photography at 35% Soft Light.  First 5 steps are all custom steps that I naturally do on most images.

I added a sky, because I thought it gave the picture a more dramatic look, I also put a vignette, added some contrast, and changed the saturation/coloring of the photo.

Kreative Kaptures
Cropped the image down and sharpened it. Used my personal warming preset and kicked up the blacks and blues a little. Then I adjusted the lights and highlights. Finally, I put a slight vignette on the edges and called it good.

Life is a Foto
I used Lightroom. I turned the brightness up to +21. I turned the contrast up to +55, I made the clarity +15 and the saturation +29. I like to make my images "pop out," I think it makes them look better. I didn't change the blurry background, because it focuses more on the subjects.

On portrait #1 I first adjusted the hue/saturation to become more vibrant and reduce the blue tone to the photo. I then softened the skin and used an eye pop. Sharpened and lastly added a texture.

On portrait #2 I used a black and white action installed and enhanced the contrast, eye pop, sharpened.

Makeover Monday!!

I had a lot of fun looking at your edits on this picture of my nephew!  Isn't he just so handsome!!?  :)

Here is what I came up with...

I started by running my own De-Fog action (using the unsharp mask at 20%, Radius 60, Threshold at 0).  Then I fixed the levels and ran the "Rusty Cage" action from Totally Rad Actions at 20% which gives it the soft and rusty look.  I then used "Antique" from TRA at about 25%.  I Burned the edges and painted over his face with the Yang from TRA also.  Little Gems Photography

Just wanted to let you know in case the words look different from Photoshop talk. It opperates the same but has different names for copyright stuff. You probably already know all this.. loll so here's the edits.

HSL   Blue up 30

    Erase 100% opacity 40% off of shirt

Duplicate

Tonal map max

    Erase off skin, shirt and and all grass

Unsharp bottom layer (face, skin, shirt)

    Radius 11

    Uncheck Luminance

Flatten and done.

I have two edits here:

Edit #1- I used the Cherry Cream and Velvet Cream action, burning & dodging, and levels.

Edit #2- I used the same as above plus the Baby Max B&W action

  This first one I used some actions from Pure Photoshop Actions. 

I used Pure Pop twice and then budding tree.

With this second image again using actions from Pure Photoshop Actions 

I first used summer color then warm and soft light baby 

The third using actions from Pure Photoshop Actions...I used Get your tan on, 

Lavendar Fields, Warm Lavendar and Lookin Sharp Baby x3 

as well as a crop for this one

First up I ran Paint the Moon's Bliss action. I 
then layered on Jessica Drossin's 'Marked" 
texture on overlay and brushed off some of the texture around his face. Then I 
added Jessica Drossin's 'Star Spangled' texture on soft light at 40% and also 
removed a tiny bit on his face :)

  This time I ran the Summer Haze action from Pure Photoshop Actions and then added Marked again, this time on screen at 35%, 
brushing some parts off. I then added the Creamy Haze overlay from Paint the 
Moon on overlay at 90% and brushed off most of it, just leaving enough to give 
the photo an Autumn effect :)

 Just a real quick edit. I did a little color pop including enhanced 
saturation boost, skin softening, eye pop, added a soft texture, and 
sharpened :)

I Heart Faces, Fix it Friday

I alway's begin by opening the pic in Adobe Bridge Camera Raw and pumping up the exposure, blacks and recovery (I just play around until I think it looks good).  Then I slide the lens vignetting down to pop the colors on the edges. Save and open in photoshot CS3.

I ran a defog action (I made myself by using the unsharp mask), I ran the "bring on the eyes" action from Pioneer Woman's Action Set 2,  3 times!!
1.I ran the paint brush all over the eye and turned the opacity to 50% (this is very important!!!  DO NOT LET YOUR SUBJECT LOOK LIKE AN ALIEN BY MAKING THEIR EYES LOOK UN-NATURALLY WHITE!!)
2. Painted on the iris,
3. Painted on the iris.
I did this because her eyes were so dark, I wanted the beautiful brown color to come out.

Then I ran MCP Mini Fusion and decreased the opacity on several layers to get the effect I wanted.

Next I ran TRA's Prettyizer and turned the opacity to 25%

iheartfaces, before and after...

I had a lot of fun editing this image from the iheartfaces website for the Fix it Friday challenge.  Here are the before and afters!

I like to keep it looking natural, especially with kids!
I opened it in Adobe Bridge Camera Raw with the jpeg version and warmed it up a little, slid the black's up and the exposure.  Then went in and added lens vignetting.  I opened it in Photoshop and ran TRA's Prettyizer and cropped it a tiny bit :)
