Most of my photoshoots are done on location, outdoors.  But of course there are certain situations where I need a backdrop, like for my newborn, infant sessions, and when it's Winter outside!  I just love these poly paper backdrops for those occasions because I don't use them all the time and they are priced so reasonably.

My review today is on the Poly Paper Backdrops and Floor Drops.
The backdrop was shipped to me inside a very thick cardboard tube which I keep for storage of the drops.  It's perfect!  Also sent in the package, care instructions and of course a candy Lemon Drop :)

I love these little drops!  They are within my budget and they are more durable than I thought they would be!~
PolyPaper is really not "paper" at all.  It is a synthetic material that feels like heavy paper. It's water resistant and you'll have a heck of a time tearing it. It's flexible and has a matte finish so there is no glare in any lighting. It's our lowest cost option in backdrops and floordrops.

The backdrop is called "Shelley". (click on the image to do to the web page)
The floor drop is called "Stained Wood". (click on the image to go to the web page)

This is my set up.  In my kitchen using the natural light from the dining room windows :)

My clamps to hold the baseboard from Home Depot (not even painted! Ha!) right to the backdrop.
Clamps to hold it to my backdrop.

And here are my cute little models!

I was really impressed at how well the backdrop held up even with chairs and a pumpkin rolling and falling all over it!  The floor drop is still in excellent condition after the circus walked all over it! ;)

And even though it's only 5 feet wide, I could still throw in the other kids and we had plenty of room!
Of course on the day I had it all set up, it was my kids 'CRAZY HAIR DAY'!  Don't they look cute with blue hair!?

I am so excited to purchase some more Holiday Themed backdrops for the Christmas Season!
This one is my favorite right now...

And now for the good stuff!!

Win it Wednesday & Featured Vendor Review {PepperLu}

Today's Featured Vendor is
Photography Adornments
At PepperLu our goal is to provide the highest quality floors, props, and backgrounds on the planet. We are the sole manufacturer of all of our faux floor mats. Each of the images used for our mats are selected by professional photographers in various parts of the world. From our manufacturing plant across the seas to our corporate offices, every single employee has a passion for photography.

I am so excited to review one of their Faux Floor Mats for you today!
I received this beautiful Vintage Marange floor mat in the mail in a large tube.  All rolled up and ready to go!

I moved my dining room table, (cause my studio is in my home, where my dining room table is, Ha!) and got out my backdrop stand and clamps.  Ready to go!

Cue the cute little dude...
For this shot he is just sitting right on the backdrop.  Just as it's shown above.
Here, I put the floor drop on the floor and stood over him and took the shot.
He's looking over at his momma :)
And here is the floor mat with molding and a backdrop.
He was just rolling that pumpkin and I just love his face here...
And sitting...
There are a lot of things that I LOVE about this floor mat:
1. It's large!!
Big enough to move around my subject and not worry about the mat going out of frame.
2. It's EASY!
Just roll it up when you are done and throw it in a closet, NO wrinkling!
3. It's Machine Washable
'nuff said
4. It's durable!
This will be around for a VERY long time, even with little ones throwing pumpkins on it :)

"All of their faux floor mats are made with a 25% lycra / 75% polyester blend fabric and 100% natural rubber.  When you're done with them you can simply roll them up and move them. They are durable, easy to clean and they don't wrinkle. They also don't produce an unwanted light reflection that some vinyl backdrops or floors have. All mats can be washed in a washing machine on cold and laid out flat to dry. Multiple washings may fade the color."

The only things I didn't like:
1. The smell isn't the greatest, rubbery.
2. It was a little hard getting it out of the tube, cause it sticks to the cardboard.  It took 2 of us :)

The floor mats are made with this black, Mouse Pad like, rubber backing so they don't slip around while your clients are walking on it.  It's thick and wonderful.
I also LOVE using the floor mats for product photography...
Easy peasy, roll out the mat in a well lit area, throw your product on it and viola!
Now for the GOOD STUFF!  PepperLu is offering 10% off the entire order for all my readers from 10/26-11/2!  Just enter the code: Winit10 to receive your discount at checkout.
