Makeover Monday on a Wednesday! :)

So, my computer has been running extrememly slow the past few days, and my internet was not all together there Monday and Tuesday, so here we are.  It's Wednesday, and I am finally posting the Make over Monday Submissions from you guys!  Here we go!
This is the SOOC image of my little cutie hangin out with us while we were shooting Back to School pictures this Saturday!

 Adjust curves slightly to lighten his face, but used black brush to re-darken background

2)      Increased the vibrance

3)      Warmed the photo up a bit with a warming filter

4)      Used selective color layer to make the blues, reds, etc.. pop more

5)      Brightened the photo up a bit making sure to use the black brush on the areas I did not want it to show up.

I used all Photographers BLING actions

Siesta Zing (at 67%)
Warm skin tones (at 70%)
Used layering mask to paint on some color
Used the  selective color option to add more depth to the reds and blacks
Also used the blur tool to blur out the background and bring the subject as the main focal point of the photograph 

 

 Chandon Photography

 

I took your image and adjusted the Curves, I took out some of the red and added a little blue. I then ran a "Gavin Free-Sage" action and stopped it half way through. I then dodged and burned a few area's and did a 3.7 gaussian blur on the image and brought back the focal points of the image. I than add 10% contrast and again went into curves and added a little more blue.

First I used Goodbye RedFace and Skin Glow to smooth out the skin tones a bit from 

Oh So Posh's, Bohemian Symphony Collection.  Then I enhanced their eyes and color 

with Bright & Shiny Eyes and Diva Green Colored Contacts from Jen's 

Fabulous Stuff's, Wonder Woman V.2 Collection.  Then From Pure Photoshop's Pure 

Action Set 2 I used Boost those Blues and from Set 1 I used It's all about the 

Bling to sharpen it.  Then also from Pure I used Budding Tree from their Spring 

Fever Collection.

1. Duplicate layer - Unsharp Mask

2. Levels layer at 75% to warm the image

3. Curves layer to warm and darken slightly

4. Selective Color layer to bring out colors on carousel more

5. Selective Color layer to smooth and soften faces

6. Curves layer to brighten eyes

7. Channel Mixer layer at 75% to desaturate the image

8. Cropped to eliminate some of the background

Sunflower Photography

For this photo I ran Florabella's Retro Lollipop action. I brushed several of the layers off of the faces and added a slight violet tint! Then to top it off I added a slight caramel tint and brushed it off of everything but the couple's faces to make them pop just a little

Used Goodbye Red Face @ 30%.  Oh So Boho @ 30%.  Carnival Lights @20%.  

I then used an overlay texture at 15% called Journey 2 I bought from some where but can't remember now!

I thought that bringing back the blown highlights was step one, so here's what I did:
1. Florabella Luxe II - ran Highlight Protection action (love it)
2. Burn tool at 15% midtones on horse and girl's left shoulder
3. Sponge tool at 20% around all colors except for the red sweater for a color pop
4. blemish removal on nose of guy
5. Light airbrush at 12% to smooth skin - guy just around nose and forehead (never touch the stubble!)
6. quick pop of the eyes with the dodge tool

Make Over Monday

This week was a fun one! An adorable family photoshoot, the last pic of the session, with not a lot of light! It really needed help!

5. Sharpened just their faces a little

6. Ran MY FOUR HENS "dainty color" action at 52% for a vintage feel

7. Added a little "lens flare" from MY FOUR HENS

8. Lightened up a smidgen more and voila!

Just a couple of adjustments with Brightness and Contrast...:)  Brought in more saturation too!

1. Unsharp mask, 2. Adjusted levels, 3. Used Selective Color on entire image, 4. Used another Selective Color on Background, 5. Adjusted Curves for Family, 6. Used the White 4th of July Texture from Kristin Nicole Photography at 35% Soft Light.  First 5 steps are all custom steps that I naturally do on most images.

I added a sky, because I thought it gave the picture a more dramatic look, I also put a vignette, added some contrast, and changed the saturation/coloring of the photo.

Kreative Kaptures
Cropped the image down and sharpened it. Used my personal warming preset and kicked up the blacks and blues a little. Then I adjusted the lights and highlights. Finally, I put a slight vignette on the edges and called it good.

Life is a Foto
I used Lightroom. I turned the brightness up to +21. I turned the contrast up to +55, I made the clarity +15 and the saturation +29. I like to make my images "pop out," I think it makes them look better. I didn't change the blurry background, because it focuses more on the subjects.

I am so excited to see what you come up with for the edits on this pic.  It was starting to get dark and the Carousel was closed, so we didn't get to get any pics with the lights on :(.  My shutter was a little slower than I would have liked, and I was holding the camera, so it's a little blurry.  This was one of the LAST pics we took at this session.   Here is the SOOC version.  You can download it from FACEBOOK HERE, edit it and send it to me (deals4photographers@hotmail.com) along with your detailed edits.  I will repost them on Monday July 11th along with my own edits.

Make Over Monday.

Going out of town really made it hard to blog last week, so I am just getting to post these adorable edits you did on the most adorable baby boy in the world, mine! ;)

to add warmth I added a tan colored overlay layer and faded back to 25%

another high pass filter faded to 40%

Cloned out the diaper

cloned out the right side of image where the background was a bit different in color

then cropped to a 5x7

Made a secondary copy of the photo layer and used a surface blur to soften the skin, and reduced opacity

Erased the eyes,  mouth and nose area on the blurred layer

Added a light pastel wash to the photo

Added a light vignette

Flattened image and sharpened

This up-coming Make Over Monday (June 20th) will be a pic of my own little one!  He is such a squeezable baby! :) This picture is from his 6 month photoshoot on our ottoman in the front room.  Yes, he is fat, he weighs 23 pounds.  I just want to eat his cheeks! Ha!
