Featured Vendor Review {Silver Lining Backdrop Shoppe}

I am so excited about this review!  This company has such a great variety of backdrops, floor drops and combos with a backdrop and floor drop all in one.
The backdrop/floordrop I'm reviewing today is the Vintage Colorful Damask.
About Their Products:All drops and floors are made with the highest quality waterproof vinyl.  Vinyl is tear resistant and very durable.Their backdrops are made with a large format printer.  They are easily cleaned with mild soap and warm water.They store easily being rolled back into the tube container they come shipped in.
And on with the review!~We had a fun little session with some cute little dancers.

 Here is the set up in my kitchen dining room ;)  I used my portable backdrop holder and a piece of molding from Home Depot to hide the transition from floor drop to backdrop.

 Here is a close up of the back of the vinyl.  If you look really closely, you can see a bumpy texture.  This gives the backdrop and floor drop a little bit of friction, which makes it not slippery.

I would highly recommend these backdrops.  The colors are vibrant and the wood flooring looks very real in the photographs, don't you think?  I know this will last a very long time if I take good care of it.  It is well worth the money to purchase these vinyl backdrops as apposed to the paper ones.  I am not clinching every time someone walks on it with their shoes like I do with the paper floor drops.

Featured Vendor Review {Jo Totes}

I am so excited to write a review on my favorite bag from:Jo Totes!!
I love all of their bags, but this one caught my eye.  It's different, and I like different.
Why buy a fancy camera bag?  Well lot's of reasons, but I'd say my number one reason is that it doesn't look like a camera bag, so people aren't thinking, "Hmmm, I bet there is a lot of expensive equipment in there," they just think it's a normal bag.  If you haven't noticed, there aren't a lot of fashionable AND functional camera bags out there, that's what's so great about Jo Totes!
The bag that I reviewed is the Betsy in Mustard.  I LOVE the color!  When we got it in the mail, my husband opened the box and was instantly impressed that the bag came in it's own protective bag :)  He also said, "This bag is REALLY nice!" Let me just tell you, this man is hard to impress when it comes to quality, so that's saying something!

Inside the bag are two straps, one short (to wear it like a purse) and one and one (adjustable length) long and a shoulder pad.  Also, the three adjustable Velcro dividers.

The inside bottom and half of the sides of the bag is totally covered with the soft side of the velcro so it is completely customizable for your equipment.

I love the front pockets for lens caps, lip gloss, tissue, lens cloths, etc.

 They have a magnet closure for easy access and easy, secure closure.

 And the cool part, the flap is a huge pocket too!!

 I absolutely LOVE that the whole thing zips closed a the top.  Nothing will fall out of this baby!

I was so excited to rip open my package from Jasper Lilly!They package the frames so well, there is no chance of them getting bumped or bruised during shipping :)

I received two of their frames.  One is the Orchid in Spectrolite and one is the Lilac in Cobalt.

I love that they don't have glass in them so I can use them for my professionally printed and mounted pictures.  They come ready to hang with rubber feet to protect your walls and also to make them hang evenly from your wall.

 They come with a sanded 'distressed' look, which I adore...

These frames have no seams or joints.  They are cut from one piece of mdf board by a computer.Here they are mounted on my wall.

Your clients will love these frames and they are one of the best prices I have found for resale as a photographer.  These will boost your print ordering also because your client will want the mounted pictures for them.

Most of my photoshoots are done on location, outdoors.  But of course there are certain situations where I need a backdrop, like for my newborn, infant sessions, and when it's Winter outside!  I just love these poly paper backdrops for those occasions because I don't use them all the time and they are priced so reasonably.

My review today is on the Poly Paper Backdrops and Floor Drops.

The backdrop was shipped to me inside a very thick cardboard tube which I keep for storage of the drops.  It's perfect!  Also sent in the package, care instructions and of course a candy Lemon Drop :)

I love these little drops!  They are within my budget and they are more durable than I thought they would be!~

PolyPaper is really not "paper" at all.  It is a synthetic material that feels like heavy paper. It's water resistant and you'll have a heck of a time tearing it. It's flexible and has a matte finish so there is no glare in any lighting. It's our lowest cost option in backdrops and floordrops.

This is my set up.  In my kitchen using the natural light from the dining room windows :)

 My clamps to hold the baseboard from Home Depot (not even painted! Ha!) right to the backdrop.

I was really impressed at how well the backdrop held up even with chairs and a pumpkin rolling and falling all over it!  The floor drop is still in excellent condition after the circus walked all over it! ;)

And even though it's only 5 feet wide, I could still throw in the other kids and we had plenty of room!

Of course on the day I had it all set up, it was my kids 'CRAZY HAIR DAY'!  Don't they look cute with blue hair!?

 I am so excited to purchase some more Holiday Themed backdrops for the Christmas Season!
